Highlights


We've enhanced the instructor-side calendar view, improved worksheet print quality, upgraded the video player for better compatibility, fixed some bugs, and cleaned up the instructor UI. For a more detailed list, continue reading below.

Dec update

For this update, we set out to improve the Instructor side of the app by streamlining common workflows and enhancing clarity at every step. Let's take a look!


Improved Calendar Makes Customizing the Course Even Easier. 



  • Monthly summary added to the bottom of the calendar
  • Colorful new icons for Sessions, Lessons, Worksheets, and Tests
  • Improved calendar day details view enables instructors to assign lessons, worksheets — without leaving the calendar.
  • Instructors can save time by selecting multiple items and performing batch actions. For example, an instructor may reschedule or delete one or more items with only a few clicks.


The All-New List View Enables Instructors to See EVERYTHING

  • Instructors can now toggle between Calendar View and List View
  • List View enables instructors to see every single assignment on every single day over the course of the entire month.
  • Drag-and-drop functionality allows instructors to reschedule lessons from one day to another.


Improved download/Print Quality for Worksheets and Lessons 




  • Before this update, downloading/printing through the pdf viewer would result in diminished print quality.
  • We've added new links that allow users to circumvent the issues caused by using the pdf viewer to print.
  • Users may now access the original high-quality files for printing worksheets
  • In response to feedback that some of the ACT Science figures had been difficult to read, we replaced many smaller ACT Science images with larger images that are easier to read.  


Improved Video Player Compatibility on iOS Devices



  • Prior to this update, we periodically received reports of issues with video solutions not playing correctly on students' school-issued iPads. These issues were not frequent, but they occurred frequently enough that we needed to get the issue sorted out. 
  • The issue had primarily affected users whose iOS software was multiple updates behind the current version.
  • While the best way to ensure that you can access myPREPcourse video solutions on your iPad is to be sure that your iPad is running the most recent version of iOS, we upgraded the video plugin for better compatibility across all devices.
  • This change has also eliminated issues experienced by some users who attempted to watch video solutions in the Safari browser. 


Updated the Instructor Menu to Match Student Menu's Aesthetic


  • Moved the Instructor's avatar to the top of the menu to prevent confusion.
  • When impersonating a student, the menu now shows both the Instructor and Student avatar.
  • Isolated the "Logout" button to prevent accidental clicks.


Features & Improvements


  • Improvements to the Course Template Library UI
  • UI enhancements to make the Instructor app more flexible for the users
  • Fixed an issue that had caused the assignment date to change incorrectly when the assignment time was changed


Performance & Stability Improvements

  • Snapshot on the backend for improved stability and performance by enhanced data/event management
  • Refactored core Admin UI components for better stability and re-usability

  • Welcome Emails & Password  

    • Fixed an issue relating to the triggers for welcome emails, password reset emails, and email progress reports.
  • Progress Emails

    • Fixed Issue about a progress report
    • Fixed last login date
    • Fixed a deactivation of the Student Account

Lessons Worksheets

    • Fixed assigning lessons on the calendar
    • Fixed updating the lessons/sessions/worksheets dates in a calendar
    • Fixed the To-Do list for showing the assigned work due to student for the next week
    • Fixed duplicated worksheets
    • Fixed reschedule the worksheets to the students
    • Fixed the timing of the worksheet model and set it to the current local time

Course Templates

  • Applying filters on the course templates
  • Fixed crashes on pagination errors and created course templates

Video Solutions

  • Fixed the video solutions to match with SAT worksheets

Practice Tests

  • Fixed Students score calculations of the tests are calculated correctly
  • Fixed test problems with more than 1 option

Classes

  • Fixed the filters applied in the class Section
  • Fixed loader
