January Product Update (01/19/22)
We've added a few handy new tools for instructors. Read on to check out the whole list. For this update, we're rolling out a few features that have been requested by our users. If you'd like to share a feature request or other feedback, please reach out to us at help@myprepcourse.com!
Add a Baseline Score for New Students
- Override the student's first scored test in myPREPcourse by manually entering a "baseline" score.
- Instructors can enter the baseline score when creating a student's account — or anytime after that.
- Entering a baseline score can help you make sure that you get credit for any score improvement that takes place between the time you start working with the student the first practice test that gets scored using myPREPcourse.
- If you choose to enter a baseline score, it will show up in the following places:
- On the student's Test Tab
- In the email parent progress report
- On the student's Account Tab
- And it will be used in all the score improvement calculations
- If you don't have a baseline score to enter, then there's no action you need to take.
Improvements to Progress Report Emails
- Sending when and to whom you send progress reports is now much easier:
- Toggle progress reports on/off for students and instructors
- Add or remove parents, instructors, students, etc.
- View a PDF or send it with just one click.
- Choose which day the progress report will go out
- We've simplified the langue of progress report emails:
- reports no longer include confusing ACT test form IDs or SAT QAS dates.
- Practice tests are presented as a sequence (i.e. Test 1, Test 2, etc.) and identified by the date on which each test was taken.
- When available, baseline test scores are used to calculate score improvement.
It's Now Easier to Find the Practice Test You Want to Assign
- All available SAT practice tests are now sorted by date.
- All available ACT practice tests are now sorted by date.
- ACT Test Form 2176CPRE has been added
Now You Can Generate a Score Report for a Partial Practice Test
- Now you can download/print a score report anytime you like, whether the student has finished taking the full test or not.
- The test scoring system now ignores any section that hasn't been submitted for scoring.
